Leonard Ramey

	Leonard Pete Ramey, 87, of Centralia, formerly of Dowell, passed away Friday, March 16, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. at Centralia Manor in Centralia.
	Mr. Ramey was born April 22, 1913 in Floyd County Kentucky, the son of Kennis and Susanna (Mosley) Ramey.  He married Eva Case in February 1932 in Floyd County and she preceded him in death in February 1945.  He then married Irene Stennet in February 1945 in Albion, Ill. and she passed away in January 1988.
	He lived most of his later years in Dowell and moved to Centralia about a year ago.  He was a retired bricklayer.  He was a member of the Baptist Church, Brick Masons Union.  He enjoyed making furniture for family and friends and enjoyed fishing.
	Surviving are one son, Leslie Ramey of Frankfort, Ky.; one daughter, Ruby Tomblinson of Mesa, Ariz.; brothers, Jack Ramey and wife Delores of Centralia, Paul Ramey and wife Annie of Yipsilanti, Mich. and Woodrowe Ramey and wife Bernice of Mansfield, Ohio; sister, Bessie Lafferty and husband Jesse of Yipsilanti, Mich.; six grandchildren, Darryl Hall of Mesa, Ariz., Devan Hall and wife Toni of Arlington, Tex, Lisa Hall of Mitchell, Ind., Kelly Reed of Richmond, Va., Suzanne Polk of Bedford, Ind. and Tresa Reed of Glendale, Ariz.; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special nephew, Dan Ramey of Centralia.
	 He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eva; wife, Irene; two sons, Leonard Ramey Jr. and Loranzie Ramey; one brother, Willard and four sisters, Edna, Dulzie, Ellen and Nemmon.
	Funeral services weree held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Garnier and Sons Funeral Home in Centralia.  Friends called from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
	Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Samaria Cemetery in Albion, Ill.  
	Memorials in his honor may be made to the American Heart Association.
